Loopkat is a Dutch electronic music producer based in Den Haag. The project carries the echo of a longer journey — one that began in 2004 under the alias D-Lux, with a self-released 12" on the F**k Babe label, a collaborative white-label between friends that barely had a name but found its way into crates across Europe.
Releases followed on Phonotech and Ape Recordings — vinyl-only imprints rooted in the Dutch techno underground, played on large festivals, distributed internationally and still sitting in collector hands today.
After years away from production, Loopkat emerged as the vessel for a return — not a revival, but a continuation. The same pull toward groove, texture and mood, re-expressed in a contemporary context that moves between melodic house, deep electronic, and techno.
